Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus hands-on video leaked ahead of its launch next month

At its event at MWC 2017 yesterday, Samsung officially announced the launch of its upcoming smartphones – the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus to take place on March 29. We’re already aware of the specs and design of these smartphones through multiple leaks over the web. Now, a hands-on video of both these smartphones has surfaced online, which shows off the phones in their full majestic glory. The smartphones, as seen in the video, come with a curved screen up front with no physical home button. In addition to this, capacitive keys can be seen on the smartphones, reaffirming the fact that these smartphones are going to ditch the hardware keys.

The standard Galaxy S8 is rumoured to feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD display, whereas the high-end variant is expected to have a 6.2-inch display. Under the hood, both the variants will run on a Snapdragon 835 processor, considering the fact that the company is said to have already acquired the first batch of this powerful SoC. Both the smartphones will have a 12-megapixel dual pixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.

As far as the battery capacity of the standard variant is concerned, it’s expected to be 3000mAh, whereas the higher-end variant might pack a 3500mAh battery. Both smartphones are said to be IP68 water and dust resistant and also have an iris scanner and Samsung Pay support. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus launch is scheduled to take place on March 29, where all details about these smartphones will be official announced. The company will also live stream the launch event on its official website at 11:00 EDT (9:30 PM IST).
