Samsung Galaxy S8 commences production, more than 10 million units to be manufactured initially


The official launch of the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus is scheduled for March 29 in New York, which is less than a month away. Even though the company is trying to keep everything related to the device a secret, more and more information regarding the smartphones has been surfacing every now and then. We saw the press renders of the Galaxy S8 yesterday and now we are getting information regarding the production phase of the smartphone. As per a new report by Naver, Samsung will be producing more than 10 million of the Galaxy S8 in the first phase.

The report further reveals that Samsung will produce 4.7 million units of the Galaxy S8 in March, and another 7.8 million devices will be manufactured in April. The production of the same has already kicked off in Vietnam, where the next big smartphone, the Galaxy S8 is also said to be produced. In addition to this, we also expect the smartphone to be globally available alongside its release in Korea, going by this huge scale production numbers. The Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD display, while the Galaxy S8 Plus might sport a 6.2-inch display.

Both devices are expected to feature a 12-megapixel dual rear-facing camera, an iris scanner, a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and might come equipped with Samsung Pay support. In addition to this, the “Samsung SM-G955U” assumed to be Galaxy S8, also recently passed the Geekbench listing, revealing more information about the device.
