After Nvidia unveiled the GTX 1080 Ti at GDC 2017 (Game Developers Conference 2017), ASUS has launched its ROG-branded GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards – Strix GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and Asus Turbo GeForce GTX 1080 Ti – in India. The Taiwanese PC giant has announced that availability of these GPUs will start from the end of March 2017, but it hasn’t revealed their prices yet.
These graphics cards offer 35% better gaming performance than the GTX 1080, and outperforms even the GTX Titan X in gaming. It also features ASUS’ proprietary Auto-Extreme, GPU Tweak II, and XSplit Gamecaster technologies. The Auto-Extreme feature improves quality and reliability of the card, while the GPU Tweak II is an intuitive tweaking and overclocking tool. Buyers can use the XSplit Gamecaster feature for instant gameplay streaming to their friends and social media.
The ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is also equipped with MaxContact, a feature that uses three patented wing-blade fans to offer cooler and quieter performance while gaming. It also has 40% more contact area compared to other cards and an optimised copper spreader for faster heat dissipation. The card’s dual-ball-bearing fan offers up to two times longer lifespan. There are two HDMI ports, so it becomes easier to connect one VR headset while also replicating the video output to an external monitor while playing VR games.
