Nokia’s return to the smartphone industry at the Mobile World Congress 2017 was indeed noted. However, the company did not introduce its marquee devices. Nokia is reportedly working on the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 with a metallic body. Both these Nokia phones are tipped to arrive in the top mid-range pricing segment.
The Nokia 8 made it to the news at the start of this year. Rumoured earlier as Nokia 8 Supreme, the Nokia 8 is expected to have Quad HD resolution toting display. There is no clarity on the screen size, but the previous rumours suggested it will be 5.7-inch.
The Nokia 8 will house the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU in a tow. So it won’t pack the top-tier Snapdragon 835 as reportedly earlier.

The Nokia 7 is step down version of the Nokia 8. It will sport a 1080p display but will house the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU.
The camera design will be different for both the phones. In fact, the Nokia 8 may use Carl Zeiss optics for its camera configuration. Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will come with slim bezels and a unibody aluminium frame. Both phones will incorporate a fingerprint scanner and support fast charging.
As of now, Nokia working to push Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 in several markets by the second quarter. Till that happens, we doubt if the company will bring the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 any time soon. Nokia plans to launch seven smartphones this year and three have been launched already.
