Reliance Jio’s aggressive pricing on 4G data plans is forcing other telecom operators to come up countermeasures. Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea recently introduced their best plans to rival Jio plans. Now, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) joins the bandwagon with a new Rs 339 tariff plan bundling unlimited calls and 2GB worth 3G data per day.
BSNL also joins the price war to offer unlimited calling and data benefits to lure more subscribers and also retain the current ones. The BSNL customers need to recharge their numbers with a special tariff voucher dubbed Combo STV worth Rs 339.
The BSNL offer includes 2GB of 3G data with a 28-day validity and unlimited calling to other BSNL numbers. Along with that, the customers will also get to make free 25 minutes worth of voice calls to other networks. After hitting that limit, BSNL will charge 25 paise per minute for voice calls.
Commenting on the new plan, RK Mittal, BSNL Director for Consumer Mobility, said:
“We are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to all segment of our loyal mobile customers. We offer best prices to our customers considering the present trend of Indian telecom industry.”
The Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer promising 1GB of 4G data daily and unlimited voice calls over LTE is set to expire on March 31. Reliance Jio customers would be able to enjoy unlimited voice calls and daily data benefits under Jio Prime Membership starting April 1.
