Vernee Apollo X goes official: features a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Helio X20 SoC and 4GB RAM


Chinese tech giant Vernee has finally announced a new smartphone in its Apollo X series, the Vernee Apollo X. The smartphone, as mentioned earlier, is the first device from the company to run VOS OS out-of-the-box. It comes in a full metal unibody design and has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor which the company claims can unlock the phone in just 0.1 seconds.

Vernee Apollo X Specifications

The Vernee Apollo X features a 5.5-inch (1920×1080) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla 2.5D curved glass on top of it. Under the hood, the device is equipped with a deca-core Helio X20 processor paired with Mali-T880 GPU. The handset packs 4GB of RAM and has 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot to up to 128GB. As mentioned above, the phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with VOS user interface on top.

In the imaging department, the Apollo X features a 13-megapixel rear facing camera which uses Sony’s IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. Connectivity-wise, the phone comes with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a USB Type-C port. It packs a 3500mAh battery.

The Vernee Apollo X is available in Black and Silver colour options. The phone is priced at  $232 (approximately ₹15,000) and can be purchased from GearBest at the moment.
