Motorola is working to bring the 2017 editions of its Moto X series smartphones. Fresh images of purported Moto X 2017 are making rounds online. Jerry Lin posted a couple of pictures on Google Plus, and the device appears to be a prototype.
The Motorola X series has Moto X Force in flagship range, Moto X Style in mid-range, and Moto X Play in lower mid-range. The purported device in question bears XT1801 model number and is estimated to be a Moto X 2017 family member.
The Moto X 2017 phone will be the first from the company to feature a dual-camera setup at the rear. The images of the front and back reveal the design being consistent with the recently announced Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus phones.
A photo of the Moto X 2017’s recovery mode gives a peek into its internals. The phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with Adreno 506 GPU. By default, the phone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. We might see a 4GB+64GB variant of this phone. Though some basic specs come to light, they might be from one of the prototypes.
We expect Motorola to unveil the new Moto X 2017 series devices in coming few months.
