Marshall introduces Monitor Bluetooth, wireless headphones for $249

Marshall, the company famous for making guitar amplifiers, has launched a new pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones as part of its personal audio product lineup. Priced at $249 (approximately ₹16,000), the Marshall Monitor Bluetooth, the company promises, will allow for over 30 hours of playback on a single charge.

Featuring 40mm dynamic drivers with a frequency response range from 10Hz – 20kHz, Marshall says the Monitor Bluetooth’s custom tuned drivers are capable of delivering a near neutral sound that perfectly balances clarity and bass. The Marshall Monitor Bluetooth uses Bluetooth aptX, that promises improved transmission via Bluetooth. Marshall claims that in addition to a 30 feet wireless listening range, Bluetooth aptX also helps improve sound quality.

While the headphones don’t feature active noise cancellation, their over-ear design should offer some amount of noise cancellation. The Monitor Bluetooth has a collapsible design, and features a multidirectional knob that lets you play/pause or shuffle tracks during playback, adjust the volume, and even control phone functionality. You can use the control knob to answer, reject or end phone calls. The Monitor Bluetooth features built-in passive noise reduction microphones that allow you to converse over your phone. Additionally, the headphones have a 3.5mm audio jack so you can share audio with others, and the headphones are bundled with a detachable 3.5mm cord and a microUSB charging cable. Also bundled along is a canvas carrying bag for protection.
