Sony Xperia XZs launched in India for Rs.49,990


Sony has today launched the latest flagship Xperia XZs in India for ₹49,990 at an event in Delhi. The smartphone is expected to be available across retail outlets and online stores from the 11th of April. The Xperia XZs is available in Ice Blue, Warm Silver, and Black colours.

The new Sony Xperia XZs features a 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS memory stacked image sensor that lets you record 960fps slow motion video in HD resolution, and this feature is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the phone. It also features 5-axis image stabilisation and records 4K video. Another camera centric feature is predictive capture, which enables the phone to takes 3 pictures even before you’ve hit the shutter release. The Xperia XZs also has a 13-megapixel front camera with a large 1/3.06-inch Exmor RS image sensor and a 22mm F2.0 wide-angle lens.

The phone runs Android 7.x Nougat, and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset with an Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM. The device is IP65/68 certified for dust and water resistance.

The Xperia XZs will be available for pre-booking starting tomorrow, and should be available at all Sony Center and select retail outlets by the 11th of this month. Pre-orders get a free wireless bluetooth speaker – the SRS-XB10 worth ₹4,990 for free with the phone. The Xperia XZs will also be available online exclusively via Flipkart.
