Huawei Y5 2017 unveiled; features a 5-inch display, 2GB RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Huawei has quietly announced its new smartphone, the Huawei Y5 2017. The phone appears to be an entry level device going by the specifications packed into it. The Huawei Y5 also boasts of a key feature that allows you to access your favorite apps or features quickly.

The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display and runs on the MT6737T Quad-core processor. It packs 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage. The phone’s highlight is its 3000mAh battery which, the company claims, can last up to 1.5 days on a single charge.

The Huawei Y5 features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Besides these, the phone has 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS.
