Motorola Moto E4 running Android 7.0 Nougat spotted in an FCC filing


Motorola is quietly working on the Moto E series smartphone. An FCC filing reveals that a Motorola phone with model number XT1762. This handset is rumoured to be the Moto E4 with a dual SIM support and will be a successor to the Moto E3.

The FCC filing reveals very few details about the said Moto E4 with XT1762 model number. The Moto E4 will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It will offer 16GB of internal storage, and out of that, will reserve some for the system and updates.


The Moto E4 is a dual SIM phone with the support for 4G LTE and single-band Wi-Fi for connectivity. By default, the handset packs 2,800 mAh battery which is decent enough to last a day. There’s no mention of fast charging in the filings.

The Motorola Moto E4 appears to be a new budget device which will replace the Moto E3 Power and others. There is official word on its launch, price, and availability as yet.
