Samsung unveiled its flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, a few days ago. Both these devices were initially launched with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Now, according to a latest report from ETNews, Samsung is said to be planning to release a variant of the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage in China. The handset is said to be priced at $1030 (approximately ₹67,000). That apart, the company might also offer a DeX dock costing ₹9766 officially for free.
Prior to the official launch of these smartphones recently, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage also cleared TENAA certification in China, indicating that a launch of these variants was imminent. The Galaxy S8+ features a 6.2-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 835 SoC, and 12-megapixel rear-facing camera. The device will also be released in an octa-core Exynos 8895 chipset variant with 4GB of RAM available onboard.
Recent rumours had suggested a 6GB RAM variant said to be exclusive for China, but now this news report confirms these rumours to be true. The official launch might happen in the coming days. Do note that the smartphone might be offered in Midnight Black.
