ZTE has officially launched the Nubia Z17 Mini, a new mid-range smartphone in China. There are two variants available, one with 4GB of RAM, priced at CNY 1,699 (approximately ₹15,900), and another with 6GB of RAM for CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹18,700). The smartphone is available in Elegant Black, Black with Gold, Champagne Gold and Red colours, and is expected to go on sale from the 13th of April. There is no information on whether the smartphone will be launched in India as well.
The ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini boasts of dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, one of which has a monochrome sensor (Sony IMX258 MONO sensor), and the other, with a colour sensor (Sony IMX258 RGB sensor). Its lens has an F2.2 aperture. The phone lets you simulate aperture adjustment from F1.0 to F16 for shallow depth of field images, and features Phase Detection Autofocus. The camera supports 4K video recording and also features OIS. At the front is a 16-megapixel camera with an 80-degree angle of view for selfies.
The smartphone has a 5.2-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display. While the 6GB variant has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset, the 4GB variant has an oct-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. The phones are equipped with the Adreno 510 GPU, and both variants are also equipped with 64GB of internal space, expandable up to 200GB using a microSD card.
The dual SIM Nubia Z17 Mini can be used in a Nano-SIM card + Nano-SIM card configuration, or in a Nano-SIM card + MicroSD memory card configuration. The smartphone is powered by a 2950mAh battery and runs Nubia UI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
