HMD Global is reportedly working on a top-tier flagship device – Nokia 9. Last week, we reported that the Nokia 9 will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and feature an Iris scanner. Now the purporting pricing details and the estimated launch data of the said smartphone surfaces online.
The Nokia 9 is expected to be the flagship device from the Nokia’s stable. The company is rumored of using a 5.5-inch OLED display with Quad HD resolution to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6. The Snapdragon 835 chipset will be coupled with 6GB of RAM to run the near-stock like Android 7.1.2 Nougat.
Nokia plans to use its OZO Audio recording technology to enable 3D spatial-grade sound capture while shooting videos. At the rear will be a 22-megapixel camera with Dual Lens Carl Zeiss Optics for imaging.
The flagship phone is tipped to be IP68 certified and will feature Iris sensor for authentication along with a fingerprint sensor.
The Nokia 9 is speculated to carry a price of Euros 749 in European markets, $699 in the US, and close to Rs 44,999 for India. HMD Global plans to unveil the Nokia 9 by the end of July or early August. However, the launch date may get pushed further depending on the availability of the Snapdragon 835 chips.
