Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy J7 Prime in India alongside the Galaxy J5 Prime. At a time when most smartphones in the lower mid-range segment were offering at least 32GB of internal storage space, both these phones came with a measly 16GB of internal storage space. Now, in order to make the Galaxy J7 Prime more competitive, Samsung has launched a 32GB variant of the Galaxy J7 Prime in India which will be available at offline stores soon.
Mahesh Telecom, an offline retailer in the country tweeted that the 32GB variant is expected to cost ₹16,900. The exact date of availability hasn’t been disclosed as yet, but the retailer has suggested that it will be available soon.

What’s interesting here is that Samsung had also launched the Galaxy On Nxt, which was essentially a 32GB variant of the Galaxy J7 Prime last year. However, this different between these two models is that while the On Nxt is available online-only through Flipkart, and the new32GB variant of the Galaxy J7 Prime will be available at offline stores.
The Galaxy J7 Prime sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Under the hood, it uses a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with 3GB RAM. The phone comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1080p videos, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also has a microSD card slot that can be used to expand storage space to up to 256GB. The device is powered by a 3300mAh battery.
