Xiaomi is all set to introduce its next flagship smartphone, the Mi 6, on April 19. The company has officially confirmed the launch of the same on Weibo a few hours ago. The teaser posted by the company also mentions that the device will a performance monster. The phone made its way to AnTuTu and GFXBench a few days ago under the codenamed Sagit, offering us a look at its specifications.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 835 SoC and 4GB of RAM. Additionally, the firm is also expected to launch a Plus variant which is supposed to sport a 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 835 SoC and 6GB of RAM.
Both phones are likely to feature a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with a dual tone LED flash, whereas the front-facing camera might be of 8-megapixel. The smartphones are expected to have 4G VoLTE support, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, and a 3000mAh battery (3200mAh on the Mi 6 Plus).
The official launch of the Mi 6 will be happening at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium. If you wish to attend the launch of the same, the firm has started taking registrations on Mi.com. You’ll just have to figure out how to get there in time.
