Intex has been on a phone-announcing spree for the past few months. The company has been silently announcing one handset after the other without much fanfare (you know, the usual press releases and launch events). Many of the companies models just showed up on the official website without prior intimation. The latest in this series is a new handset called the Intex Elyt-e1 which has recently shown up on Intex’s website. Let us check out what the handset has in store for its stated price tag of Rs.6,999.
To start with, this new handset seems to be from an entirely new lineup from Intex called Elyt. This means we can expect Intex to launch more smartphones on this series in the future. Anyway, let us now get down to the spec sheet.
The Intex Elyt-e1 is powered by a basic Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM 8916) chip and comes with a 5-inch HD IPS (720 x 1280 pixels) display. For graphics, the phone gets the Adreno 306 GPU. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow at launch. The Intex Elyt-e1 gets a 2200 mAh Li-Poly removable battery that claims up to 5.5 hours of talk-time and up to 220 hours of standby time. This is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE capable device that also supports WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0, Gravity sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and a fingerprint
The handset will set you back by Rs.6,999 when it is finally launched.
