Meizu has launched many smartphones in its affordable M series, which have had immense popularity in China, evident from their sales. The company now seems to be ready to launch a new device in its E series, going by the new teaser it put up, which boasts of specifications that are similar to that of the of its M series’ smartphones. The teaser also confirms that the Meizu E2 will be unveiled on April 26 in China. The entire list of specifications of the smartphone is unknown as of now, but two new devices received a 3C certification earlier, of which one we assume to be the Meizu E2.

The listing does not reveal anything significant, but it only tells us that 18W fast charging is available for both the smartphones. The Meizu E2 is rumoured to come equipped with the newly announced octa-core Helio P25 processor. Moreover going by the midrange smartphones from Meizu over the recent months, the handset might offer 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM.

The Meizu E2 is assumed to run on Yun OS in China which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and will boot Flyme OS for smartphones in other regions, in case Meizu decides to launch the smartphone globally. As of now any information about the display, camera and the pricing is still a mystery. The phone is expected to be spotted at TENAA in the coming days where we can hope to get a better glimpse of the device.

The launch event will take place at the Beijing Performing Arts Center on April 26.
