Sony Xperia XZs to go on sale in India for ₹51,990

The Sony Xperia XZs, which was launched at MWC 2017, is finally going to go on sale in India soon. It will be available through Flipkart and other offline stores. The smartphone is priced at ₹51,990, but Flipkart is currently offering a 3 percent discount, which means the smartphone can be purchased for ₹49,990 instead. It is available in Ice Blue, Warm Silver and Black colours. Flipkart is also offering the phone on EMIs and an additional 5 percent discount for Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card holders.

The device’s highlights are its 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with super slow motion video recording and a Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Sony Xperia XZs: Specifications & Features

The Sony Xperia XZs is the smaller variant of the Xperia XZ smartphone with a 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with an Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device has 64GB of storage space which can be expanded to up to 256GB using a microSD card. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat.


The handset packs a 19-megapixel Motion Eye camera with a 1/ 2.3-inch Exmor RS memory stacked sensor with Mobile BIONZ sensor, and predictive hybrid autofocus, which allow it to capture 960fps super slow motion videos. It has a 13-megapixel camera at the front with a 22mm wide-angle lens, F2.0 aperture, and SteadyShot 5-axis stabilisation. The device also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C (USB 3.1) port. 

It is powered by a 2900mAh battery with hybrid charging which is Qnovo adaptive charging and Quick Charge 3.0. It also comes with an IP65/68 rating for dust and water resistance. It measures 146x72x8.1 mm and weighs 161 grams.
