
Samsung launched its flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, on March 29. Both devices have already received a huge response in Korea, and have broken all-time pre-order records, surpassing the Galaxy S7 duo. The company is now ready to launch both these smartphones in India. It has officially confirmed the launch date for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ as April 19 through Twitter. The firm has already started taking pre-registrations via its official website.

To remind you of the smartphone’s specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ curved Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone is equipped with an Exynos 8895 10nm SoC (which is the version that will be launched in India), while there’s an alternate variant that uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The device packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. It features a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera with 4K video recording, while the front-facing 8-megapixel camera has autofocus and QHD video recording. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and an iris scanner on the front.
