
Hong Kong based smartphone maker Elephone has been in gradually making its presence felt in India. The company recently launched its new Android-powered handset in India that it plans to exclusively retail via Amazon. This new handset is the Elephone P9000. Let us check out what this phone has on offer.
The Elephone P9000 features a large 5.5-inch full HD display with an OGS (One Glass Solution) setup. This translate to a PPI density of just over 401 pixels per inch. The phone gets a Mediatek MT6755M chipset that houses an octa core processor setup clocked at 1.8GHz + 1.0GHz. For graphics, the phone uses the Mali-T860 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory with a provision to add a microSD card for additional memory expansion.
The Elephone P9000 runs Android 7.0 Nougat at launch gets a 3,000 mAh battery that claims 22 hours of talk time and 500 plus hours of standby time. As far as imaging goes, we are dealing with a 13-megapixel camera at the rear that uses the Sony IMX 258 image sensor. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Elephone P9000 gets a fingerprint scanner at the rear for additional security. It also gets a USB Type-C port which is unusual on a phone in its price range. Connectivity options are comprehensive with the phone supporting dual SIM cards, 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
The Elephone P9000 has been priced at ₹11,999 and as mentioned earlier, is an Amazon exclusive.
