Meizu E2 passes TENAA certification ahead of today’s launch, images and specs revealed


Meizu had already confirmed the launch date of the Meizu E2 smartphone, and it will be happening in China today. The phone already had leaked online, revealing the rear of the device that features its primary camera along with a single-LED flash. The device has now officially passed TENAA certification (China’s regulatory authority), exposing all the specifications of the Meizu E2.

The Meizu E2 will feature a 5.5-inch TFT LCD display with 1920 × 1080 pixel resolution. Under the hood, the device will be equipped with an unspecified 2.35GHz octa-core processor with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM options. The smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor, a 3,300mAh battery and 4G LTE (with VoLTE support) connectivity.

It will come with three storage variants: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Additionally, the smartphone will also have an option for storage expansion (up to an additional 128GB) using a microSD card slot. It has a metal build, and features usual connectivity options such as dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, microUSB 2.0 port, and a headphone jack. It is 7.5mm thin and weighs 165 grams.

Rumours suggest that the phone might be priced at $247 in China (around ₹15,889 ) for the 4GB RAM variant. More information about the pricing, availability, and detailed specifications about the Meizu E2 will be revealed later today when the phone launches officially.
