Meizu’s new smartphone, the Meizu M2E was spotted on Geekbench a few days ago. The listing confirmed the phone’s hardware specifications at the time, but now we’ve got more insight into the specifications from the newly spotted GFXBench listing. The smartphone is expected to have a 5.5-inch display, Helio P20 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The device is expected to have a 5.5-inch display with 1920x1080p resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone is likely to be packed with a 2.3GHz octa-core Helio P20 SoC (MT6757), dual core Mali-T880 MP2 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The firm might announce the smartphone in two more options i.e one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage and another with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Meizu M2E will boot on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with Flyme OS on top of it.
In terms of imaging, the smartphone might feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with 4K video recording as well. Connectivity-wise, the phone will have 4G support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and a 3.5mm audio jack. With the Geekbench listing and now the GFXBench listing, one can be assured that the smartphone is in the pipeline. However, the company has neither confirmed any event as yet not did it mention anything about this smartphone at Meizu’s E2 event in China yesterday. The company had also announced the Meizu M3E smartphone last year in China with similar specifications, but with a Helio P10 SoC instead.
