Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi took the wraps of the Xiaomi Mi 6 in last week in China. The ‘Plus’ variant of the device didn’t make its way along with the Mi 6, but it was believed to be launched in the upcoming months. However, a recent rumour now indicates that the launch of this high-end variant – Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus – is likely to have been canceled due to supply chain issues. Furthermore, some also believe that the company will make the debut of its next high-end flagship device – Xiaomi Mi Note 3 – in the coming months.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus was expected to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB/256GB storage, and a dual-rear camera setup. Additionally, if the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus launch is not happening anytime, then it is possible that these specifications could debut in the Mi Note 3. It is said to be the best equipped smartphone from the company till the date, and it could launch in Q2 2017 instead of a September launch. The smartphone could feature the same design as its predecessor, the Mi Note 2.
In addition to this, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 are also in the pipeline. These smartphones could launch in the coming months. Both these devices are expected to feature some extraordinary features, including powerful CPUs. The company hasn’t disclosed anything about the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus officially, but considering that the company has three more smartphones in the launch pipeline; we can guess that the launch of the Mi 6 Plus is likely canceled. We also suggest to take this rumour with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation by the company.
