Samsung is pushing a fix for red tint issue with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in India

After several reports about the red tint problems, Samsung issued an OTA update to fix the colour balance on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. That OTA update was limited only for the Korean and European regions where the device had gone on sale. Samsung is now pushing a similar update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices in India.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Earlier this week, Samsung started seeding the update to solve red tint issue in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices. Samsung is already rolling out a 426MB update for the reviewers and those who might have an early access to the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. This is more of a precautionary measure, since the update’s change log mentions the only feature – Improved colour optimization and improved colour adjustment.

The OTA update has stability improvements and bug fixes. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are set to go on sale on May 5 onwards at Rs 57,900. So when you buy the phone this weekend and set it up, you’ll have to install this OTA update.
