Sony is planning to release a successor phablet to its Sony Xperia XA Ultra model. Likely to be dubbed as the Sony Xperia X Ultra, this new phablet will feature an ultra-wide display. A fresh batch of concept renders hint the possible design of this new Xperia X Ultra handset.
Sony has big plans to expand its Xperia X lineup with a new phablet – Xperia X Ultra. It will feature IP68 certification which means that the phone will be dust and waterproof to an extent. LG G6 brought the unusual 18.5:9 aspect ratio featuring display. Sony, on the other hand, will use 21:9 aspect ratio bearing 6.45-inch display in the Xperia X Ultra.
Sony will house a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset inside the Xperia X Ultra. This Snapdragon 660 pairs up with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Sony will use a 19-megapixel camera at the rear and a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The Sony Xperia X Ultra will boot Android 7.0 Nougat by default. The phone packs a 3,050 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support for faster charging.
Do note that the above images are merely the concept renders and the final design might be different. So take them with a grain of salt.
