A video showing a secret Moto X (2017) presentation has been leaked in China, confirming some of the smartphone’s key specifications and features.
According to the video, the Moto X (2017) is going to feature a 5.5-inch display with 3D glass on top and run on the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC under the hood. The Snapdragon 660 is Qualcomm’s latest mid-range mobile chipset and uses powerful custom Kryo 260 cores. In terms of memory, the Moto X (2017) will include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. While there is no mention of memory expansion in the video, we’re fairly certain that the smartphone will include a microSD card slot.
In the battery life department, the Moto X (2017) might prove to be very impressive with a large 3800mAh capacity battery and fast Turbo Charging. No word on the camera resolution, but the video does suggest that Motorola will be integrating laser autofocus tech in the main camera at the back. The fingerprint sensor on the other hand, will be embedded inside the physical home button on the front. Some of the other details revealed in the video include a premium full metal body, Always-on voice assistant, three-band carrier aggregation, and a high IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
