Oppo A77 with 16MP selfie camera set to go official soon

Popular Chinese smartphone brand Oppo could unveil a new selfie-focused smartphone very soon. A new leak out of Taiwan suggests the company will be announcing the A77 by the end of this month.  The smartphone will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution and run on a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core chipset.

The mid-range SoC will be paired with 4GB of RAM, which should ensure a smooth multitasking experience. Storage wise, the Oppo A77 will include 64GB of internal memory. Moving on to the imaging front, the smartphone is said to feature a 13MP primary camera at the back and a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

The dual-SIM smartphone will be backed by a decent 3,200mAh capacity battery, although it isn’t clear yet if fast charging will be offered or not. You can also look forward to all the usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE.

An exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but rumors suggest the A77 announcement event could be held on the 26th of this month. Taiwan will be the first market where it will go on sale.
