All eyes are now set on OnePlus to launch its flagship phone – OnePlus 5. The company did share a teaser hinting OnePlus 5’s arrival. Now the OnePlus 5 running Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 was spotted at the AnTuTu Benchmark website.
The AnTuTu Benchmark site confirmed details about the OnePlus 5 with model number A5000. The screenshot of the OnePlus 5 confirms that the phone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The phone houses the new top-tier octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics.
OnePlus will continue to use 6GB of RAM and offer 64GB built-in storage. There’s no confirmation on the 128GB variant yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
The biggest surprise is the display sporting 1080×1920 pixel resolution as opposed to the 1440×2560 pixels as speculated in the rumours.
In the camera department, the OnePlus 5 will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. We hope there is an option to use screen flash to help out in low light situations. At the back would be a dual 16-megapixel camera for capturing better photos and also catch up with the trend.
The details about the battery capacity of the OnePlus 5 are scarce, but you can always expect the Dash Charge support. If you consider yesterday’s leak of OnePlus 5 image, the phone’s design will be similar with that of the OnePlus 3T. The antenna lines at the back are prominent while the capsule-shaped camera arrangement is a distinct change.
The phone’s recent appearance on Geekbench and now on AnTuTu Benchmark site suggests that OnePlus is ready to launch it soon.
