Panasonic P85, Eluga Ray smartphones launched in India with 4000mAh battery


Panasonic has launched two new budget Android smartphones with 4G VoLTE support in the Indian market – P85 and Eluga Ray. The two smartphones feature a 5-inch HD display and sport a large 4000mAh capacity battery, so if you’re looking for a new budget Android smartphone with great battery life, they definitely deserve your attention.

The P85 runs on a quad-core SoC clocked at 1GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. It includes an 8MP rear camera at the rear and a 2MP selfie snapper on the front. In terms of dimensions, the P85 measures 145 x 72.2 x 9.35mm and weighs in at 146.7 grams.


Panasonic Eluga Ray is powered by a more powerful MediaTek quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable built-in storage. It also features a higher-resolution 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, and a fingerprint scanner embedded inside the physical home button on the front. The smartphone measures 144.4 x 71.6 x 9.7mm and weighs in at 169 grams. Other key highlights of the handset include a more premium metal body and Arbo virtual assistant that Panasonic had introduced with the Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X. Both the P85 and Eluga Ray run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

The Panasonic P85 has been priced at Rs.6,499 while the more premium Eluga Ray carries a Rs.7999 price tag. Color options include Grey and Gold for the P85 while the Eluga Ray is offered in Space Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold. The two smartphones will be available online exclusively via Flipkart starting today, as part of the ongoing Big 10 Sale.
