HTC U 11 spec-sheet leaks out ahead of official unveiling

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC will be announcing its next flagship smartphone later today. Ahead of the multi-city event, reliable leakster @OnLeaks has shared the full spec-sheet of the smartphone online.

Confirming previous leaks, the spec-sheet reveals the U 11 will sport a 5.5-inch sized Super LCD 5 display with 1440 x 2560 Quad HD resolution and 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Like most other 2017 flagships, the U 11 will be running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset clocked at 2.45 GHz. In terms of memory, the smartphone is said to include 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal memory, which is further expandable by up to 2TB.

The rear camera will be a 12MP UltraPixel 3 unit with 1.4 micron sized pixels, an f/1.7 aperture lens, OIS, dual-LED flash, and 4K video capture. Selfie fanatics will be pleased by the smartphone’s 16MP front-facing camera, which will also capture videos at up to 1080p and support selfie panorama. What does seem slightly disappointing is that HTC hasn’t increased the battery size at all. The company is still using the same 3000mAh unit battery (with Quick Charge 3.0) that we have seen inside the HTC 10 as well as the more recent U Ultra. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, display port, USB Type-C, and 4G LTE. The U 11 will also come with a pressure-sensitive frame, BoomSound Hi-Fi, 3D audio recording, IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and Always on voice commands.
