Xiaomi could launch the Mi Max 2 in India on 23 July

Xiaomi is riding high on its success in the Indian smartphone market, thanks to huge sales of the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 4 series. The Redmi Note 4 was launched in India in January, while the Redmi 4A was launched in March. Earlier this month, the company launched the Redmi 4. Now, Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi India’s head and one of the company’s vice presidents, has hinted at the launch of a new device on July 23.

Manu Kumar Jain tweeted a few minutes ago, and asked people for suggestions as to what Xiaomi should do on the 23rd of July, 2017. While many have been replying him, guessing that the company could launch the recently announced Mi 6 in India, we believe that Xiaomi is prepping to launch the Mi Max 2 in the country on 23 July. It will succeed last year’s Mi Max, and will come with a faster processor, better build quality, improved camera, and a larger capacity battery.

The Mi Max 2 is expected to come equipped with a 6.44-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, a 13-megapixel primary camera with phase-detection autofocus and 4K video recording, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, up to 6GB RAM, as high as 128GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot, and a 5,000mAh battery. It is expected to be a dual-SIM device, similar to all other smartphones from the company.
