Xiaomi Mi Max 2 makes an appearance on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 SoC & 4GB RAM

Just a few hours before its official announcement, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has made an appearance on the popular Geekbench benchmark database, revealing its core specs. Surprisingly though, it appears the Mi Max 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset and not the newer Snapdragon 626 SoC as some rumors had claimed.

The octa-core chipset is clocked at 2.0 GHz and is listed as the MSM8953. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626, on the other hand, is clocked higher at 2.2 GHz and listed in benchmarks as the MSM8953-pro. However, a recent GFXBench listing for the Mi Max 2 had revealed the device was running on a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon SoC, most likely the Snapdragon 626. Geekbench listing for the Mi Max 2 also reveals 4GB of RAM, but we do expect the phablet to be available in multiple memory configurations.

The phablet is rumored to retain the same 6.44-inch display size of its predecessor, along with the 1080p resolution. Other specs revealed by a recent GFXBench leak include up to 128GB of built-in storage, a 12MP primary camera, 5MP selfie camera, and Android 7.1 Nougat-based MIUI software.
