Earlier this month, Micromax’s sub-brand YU put out a teaser confirming that a new smartphone called the YUREKA Black was in the works. The smartphone was being touted as YU’s comeback after a long sabbatical. The wait for this smartphone now seems to be over as the company has sent out invites for the official launch event of the YUREKA Black. The event is scheduled to take place on June 1.
The invite doesn’t categorically give out any information regarding the handset. However, what we do know is that the smartphone will come in a metal unibody design and will have a large camera sensor at the back along with a dual LED flash. The image on the teaser also suggests that the smartphone will have a slim side profile and antennae lines at the top and bottom. A slight bump on the rear camera module can also be seen.

The latest smartphone to be launched by YU was the YUREKA S which was unveiled in August last year. The company was supposed to make an official announcement for a new handset six months following it, but failing to do so, rumours began circulating that the company was going to be shut down. While it is now clear that the company has no intentions of shutting down, we’ll need to wait until the launch of the smartphone on June 1 to know what YU has in store with the YUREKA Black.
