Computex 2017: Samsung Notebook 9 Pro with 15-inch display, built-in S Pen stylus and 16GB RAM is official


At the Computex 2017, Korean tech giant Samsung introduced the new Samsung Notebook 9 Pro, the successor to the Notebook 9 which was unveiled last year. The Notebook comes in two different size variants and configurations that include a 13.3-inch display and another 15-inch display, both of which have a 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution and a touch screen display. The Notebook 9 Pro runs on the Windows 10 operating system, weighs around 4.45 lbs and also comes with a backlit keyboard.

The display of the Notebook 9 Pro has a 178-degree wide viewing angle, 500 nits brightness, 4K screen quality, and a Full HD resolution. The Notebook 9 Pro which is available in the 13.3-inch display variant gets 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, whereas the 15-inch display variant gets 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Both of them have a 2.70GHz Intel’s latest Core i7 processors, but the Intel HD Graphics 620 is packed on the 13.3-inch variant, whereas the higher-end model packs a 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon 540 Graphic card.

The highlight of the Notebook 9 Pro is that it can be rotated 360-degrees allowing it to be used as a tablet. It also packs a new S Pen which has 4,000 levels of pressure and a 0.7mm thin tip. The Notebook Pro has a 256GB SSD, a microSD card slot, a 720p HD camera and a 54Wh battery with fast charging support. It has two USB ports, a HDMI port, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac 2×2 and Bluetooth 4.2 support. The Notebook 9 Pro is available only in one colour option i.e Titan Silver.

There is no word as yet about its pricing or the launch date from the company, but we can expect the Notebook 9 Pro to be available officially later this year.
