ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has already scheduled an event on June 1 where the firm is expected to announce its flagship smartphone for the year, the Nubia Z17. The device was spotted on AnTuTu a few days ago that revealed many of its specifications ahead of the phone’s launch. Now, a new report by Nubia’s PR team was published by Gizchina. This report suggests that the device will be shipped with 8GB of RAM. Yes, you heard that right. We are talking about an 8GB of RAM variant of the smartphone, which could make the Nubia Z17 the second smartphone in the world to come with such a huge RAM after the Asus Zenfone AR that was unveiled earlier this year.
The device carries the model number NX56J and will feature a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. It will come equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage as per the TENAA listing. The device is expected to boot up on Android 7.1 Nougat with the company’s custom user interface up front.
The Nubia Z17 Mini will have a dual rear camera setup with a resolution of 23-megapixels and 8-megapixels. At the front will be a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter. The smartphone will also come with 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is said to be waterproof and might come with Quik charge 4.0 support for fast charging.
