
Micromax’s subsidiary Yu has been quiet for almost six months since its last smartphone, the Yu Yureka was launched. In the meantime, there were also rumours that the brand was going to shut shop, but this obviously isn’t true going by the current launch of its new device. The firm has now launched a new smartphone, dubbed the Yu Yureka Black which succeeds the Yu Yureka that was launched back in 2015. The new device comes with some revamped specifications that allow it to compete with other mid-range smartphones in the country.
Yu Yureka Black Specifications
The Yu Yureka Black comes in a metal unibody design with matte black finish at the rear. It features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). The device also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It weighs 142g and measures 8.5mm.
