Honor 6X gets a price cut in India; now available for ₹11,999

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor introduced the Honor 6X in India for ₹12,999 for the 3GB of RAM + 32GB storage variant, whereas the 4GB of RAM + 64GB storage variant retailed for ₹15,999. Now, the firm has reduced the prices of both the smartphones in the country. So, while the 3GB of RAM variant will be available for ₹11,999 right now, the 4GB of RAM variant will be offered for ₹13,999. The Honor 6X is the successor to the Honor 5X which was released last year.

Honor 6x first impressions

The Honor 6X sports a metal unibody design, a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and a dual camera setup that is its essential highlight. The device feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is fueled by a Kirin 655 octa-core SoC coupled with Mali T830 MP2 GPU inside. The device is available in two variants which include, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and a high-end model which packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.


The smartphone also features dual rear-facing cameras, which include a 12-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary camera which is mainly used for the bokeh effect. The smartphone’s front-facing camera is of 8-megapixels that can take videos at 720 pixels. The smartphone packs a 3340mAh battery and also comes with 4G VoLTE support. The device has also received a taste of Android 7.0 Nougat, as promised by Honor at the time of the smartphone’s launch. The Honor 6X was initially released with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the new update bring a ton of new feature with the new Nougat update.
