Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Matte Black variant officially announced in China

Xiaomi released the Mi Max 2 last month in China, and the device was initially available in gold variant. Now, the company has released a matte black variant of the smartphone which has a black shade front, unlike the gold variant which comes with a white front. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 Matte Black variant is exclusive to Hong Kong where it will retail for HKD 1,899 (approximately ?15,640 or $245).

This newer model comes only in 64GB storage option, while the 128GB storage variant is available in gold. Speaking about the specifications of this phablet, the device sports a 6.44-inch Full HD display and is powered by a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. It packs 4GB of RAM and runs Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system with MIUI 8 on top. The device features a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, while the front-facing camera unit has a resolution of 5 megapixels.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 packs a large 5,300mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 rapid charging. It is compatible with 4G VoLTE networks, has stereo speakers, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The company might bring this smartphone to India in the coming days.
