Chinese phone maker Meizu has been hyping up its next flagship since last year. Recently, a Meizu Pro 7 teaser and a live image surfaced online to give us a glimpse of its design. Now, the pictures of the protective case for Meizu Pro 7 provides us with more details. At first instance, looks inspired by iPhone’s design, but there’s more to it.

The protective case images show the secondary display placed at the back, below the dual cameras. That secondary display is made using an e-ink panel. At the bottom, you get the speaker grille flanking the USB Type-C port. Right next to it is a headphone jack. Surprisingly, there is another headphone jack on the top side. However, it could very well be for an Infrared sensor.

The Meizu Pro 7 is expected to feature a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. A deca-core MediaTek Helio X30 chipset is likely to power this phone paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. In either case, we expect the company to launch more than one version of the Pro 7.

The images confirm the horizontally placed dual-camera setup at the back with a dual-tone dual LED flash next to it. So far, the speculations suggest that the dual camera setup comprises of two 12-megapixel cameras at the back. For selfies, you will get a 16-megapixel camera. The Home button appears to be integrating fingerprint scanner. There’s no clarity on whether the phone will run Flyme OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow or higher.

The protective case will come in red and black colour options. For more details, you will have to wait till July, which is when the phone will make its debut.
