Micromax today launched a new Android tablet that it has apparently developed in collaboration with Eros Now. Thanks to the partnership between the two companies, the new Canvas Plex Tab will ship with the Eros Now app out of the box, along with a 1-year subscription. Users will be able to browse through the vast content offered by Eros Now, including Bollywood and regional movies, music videos, Indian TV shows, originals, and music. Micromax has priced the Canvas Plex Tab at Rs.12,999 and will begin selling it September 1st  onwards.

Strangely, Micromax hasn’t revealed the complete specs of the new tablet at this point. All we know for now is that it features an 8-inch display with 720 x 1280 HD resolution and comes with DTS sound for a highly immersive multimedia experience. The chipset inside remains a mystery for now, but the company did say that it includes 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the tablet comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded further with a microSD card. With 4G VoLTE support, you can continue enjoying multimedia content anywhere you go. In terms of battery life, the tablet should be pretty decent thanks to a 4000mAh capacity battery. While the company hasn’t confirmed it yet, previous reports had suggested the tablet will ship with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box.

With affordable 4G plans available, consumers access entertainment like never before and carrying a tab would almost be like carrying a mini Cineplex on the go. Canvas Plex is our endeavour to bring to our users, content and associations which add value to their overall entertainment experience.  We are pleased to partner Eros Now, which is one of the leading players in the Indian entertainment space, with excellent assortment of Bollywood and regional content, said Vikas Jain, co-founder of Micromax Informatics Limited.
