The Mi Band HRX Edition, which was teased by Xiaomi a few days back, is finally official. As the name of the device makes it quite clear, it is being launched in partnership with Hrithik Roshan’s HRX brand. In terms of specs, the Mi Band HRX Edition is almost identical to the Mi Band 2, save for slightly better tracking ability and the omission of a heart rate sensor. While there is no heart rate sensor, the Mi Band HRX Edition is capable of tracking your sleep automatically. The battery life is said to be superior as well. While the Mi Band 2 is claimed to last up to 20 days on a single charge, the Mi Band HRX Edition will deliver up to 23 days of battery life.
Like the Mi Band 2, the new Mi Band HRX Edition features a 0.42-inch OLED display with scratch-resistant glass and an anti-fingerprint coating on top. In addition to displaying the time, the panel also shows the step count. The fitness tracker connects to smartphones over the Bluetooth 4.0 standard, utilizing a 2nd generation low-energy Bluetooth 4.0 chipset that ensures a fast and stable connection while consuming less power. Once paired with your smartphone, it will notify you whenever you receive a call or a new notification, a feature that will certainly come in handy when you have your phone inside your pocket or a bag. Thanks to IP67 certification, the Mi Band HRX Edition is splash resistant, which means you don’t have to think twice while rinsing hands or even taking a shower while wearing it.
The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Limited Edition will be available in Black with Black and Blue bands from September 18th onwards via Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra. It has been priced at Rs.1,299, making it cheaper than the Mi Band 2.
