Hours after Reliance announced the Jio Diwali Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Airtel has announced its own set of plans to counter the move. The new plans from Airtel fall under their myPlan Infinity series and start from as low as ₹399 and go up to ₹999.
The most talked about plan right now is the ₹999 myPlan Infinity plan that offers Airtel users 50GB of data per month – along with unlimited incoming and outgoing calls – including while you are roaming within India.
While that might not sound great when compared to Jio’s ₹399 plan that offers 84GB of data for 84 days (at 1GB per day), what is important to note here is that Airtel allows the user to carry forward unused data from one month to another. This means if you used only 20GB of your quota from the allotted 50GB for that month, the remaining 30GB of unused data will be credited to your account and carried forward to the next month – leaving you with 80GB of data for the next month.
Also, unlike the Jio Diwali Dhan Dhana Dhan offer that can only be availed by existing users, the new plans from Airtel is open to all its customers – including prepaid users. The prepaid plan worth ₹999 offers users 4GB of data per day with a validity of 28 days.
Jio’s similarly priced plan – worth ₹999 – offers 90GB of data for 90 days without any FUP. Also, local, STD and roaming voice calls always remain free on Jio. Apart from the aforementioned ₹999 plan Airtel has also introduced the following plans with the details mentioned as follows.

- Rs 399: 10GB data, unlimited local and STD calls, free incoming roaming, outgoing roaming chargeable
- Rs 499: 20GB data, unlimited local and STD calls, free incoming roaming, outgoing roaming chargeable
- Rs 649: 30GB data, unlimited local and STD calls, free incoming roaming, free outgoing roaming calls
- Rs 799: 40GB data, unlimited local and STD calls, free incoming roaming, free outgoing roaming calls
