Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 4 in India last year with a starting price of Rs. 9,999 (for the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage variant), and it went on to become the highest selling smartphone in India. Now, the company has announced that it is dropping the price of the smartphone by Rs. 1,000. The phone will be available with the new price from Mi.com and Flipkart.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4: Features, Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a mid-range phablet, and is one of the most feature-packed smartphone that’s currently available in India. It features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8, but the phone has started receiving the MIUI 9 update with Android 7.0 Nougat. The Redmi Note 4 has a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase-detection autofocus, and 1080p video recording. On the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video recording.
The Redmi Note 4 comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor, which has eight Cortex-A53 cores, out of which four cores run at a maximum clock speed of 2GHz, while the rest of the cores run at 1.4GHz. The chipset also comes embedded with the Adreno 506 GPU and a 4G LTE modem. The SoC (system on chip) is paired with either 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, depending on the variant you choose. It has a dual-SIM card slot, GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, IR port, microUSB 3.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone port.
The phone also has a fast and reliable fingerprint scanner. One of the phone’s main selling point is its high-capacity, 4000mAh battery. In our testing, we found out that the phone can easily last two days of normal usage. With this price drop, the Redmi Note 4 is really a great smartphone to buy, and no competing smartphone can beat its performance and experience. Xiaomi recently announced that it has been able to sell 10 million smartphones for two months in a row and the Redmi Note 4 had the largest share in its sales.
