We had reported about the Nokia’s upcoming new smartphone, the Nokia 6 (2018), a few days ago. Now, the launch of the device seems to be getting closer. The new smartphone codenamed TA-1054 has passed through the TENAA certification, which is mandatory in China. The smartphone is supposed to be the dual-SIM variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) and it could be launched in early 2018, making it the company’s first smartphone for next year. Here’s the image of Nokia 8’s TENAA certification, but it doesn’t contain the image of the device itself.
Nokia 6 (2018): Rumoured Specifications
It is being rumoured that the Nokia 6 (2018) will feature a 5.5-inch Full-HD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is expected to be equipped with either the Snapdragon 630 chipset or the Snapdragon 660 chipset and that it will only be launched in one variant. It will use 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, going by the leak by China’s Baidu a few days ago.Interestingly, the Nokia 6 (2018) is also expected to sport a dual-camera setup, but the resolution of the cameras is still a mystery at this point. The handset will have the bothie feature, which we saw in the recently announced smartphones by the company. Unlike the Nokia 6 (2017), the Nokia 6 (2018)’s fingerprint sensor is expected to be moved to the back and the company is also expected to turning to on-screen navigation buttons for its first 2018 mid-range device.
In short, this smartphone will have all the trendy specifications, including an 18:9 aspect ratio screen, dual-camera setup, and on-screen software buttons, which many OEMs had adopted in mid-2017. However, if you are still thinking to buy the Nokia 6 (2017), it is undoubtedly a good smartphone to get under the Rs. 15,000 price point. Nevertheless, there are some flaws which we have addressed in our detailed review, regarding the company using an older Snapdragon 430 chipset and some other aspects.
