Reliance Jio has come up with two new plans for its prepaid customers. The new Jio 199 and 299 Happy New Year plans offer higher data when compared to the Rs.149 plan while retaining all the other benefits.
Jio 199 Plan
The Jio 199 plan comes with a validity of 28 days and offers up to 1.2GB of 4G data per day. That means you can get a total of up to 33.6GB data during the 28-days validity period. In addition to the data benefit, users will also enjoy unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMS, and Jio Apps benefits.
Jio 299 Plan
The Jio 299 plan offers the same 28 days validity period as the Jio 199 plan but gives you 2GB of 4G data per day. That means you get a total of 56GB high-speed during the validity period. Once you cross the 2GB FUP limit, the speeds will be capped at 128Kbps, just like the Jio 199 plan. Rest of the benefits remain same as the Jio 199 plan.
Jio Happy New Year 2018 Plans vs Rs.149 Plan
The Jio 149 plan is aimed at users who require very little data. As such, the plan only offers 4.2GB of 4G data for the entire 28 days validity period, with a daily limit of 0.15GB. It does give you unlimited voice calls and unlimited Jio apps access but there is a cap of 300 SMS per day. So if you are someone who uses a lot of data and need the unlimited SMS benefit as well, the new Happy New Year 2018 plans definitely make more sense. Previously, users who needed more data had to jump straight to the Rs.309 plan, which comes with a validity of 49 days. Now, however, you can get additional data and unlimited SMS in the Jio 199 plan for just Rs.50 more. The Rs.309 plan, in fact, offers “only” 1GB of 4G data per day.
