Honor 9 Lite hands-on

Chinese smartphone brand Honor. had announced its budget smartphone, the Honor 9 Lite, in India a few days ago. The smartphone went on sale for the first time via Flipkart on Sunday (January 21), and the phone went out of stock in just 6 minutes. Later that day, the phone went on sale once again at 12PM IST (noon) where the smartphone was sold out again in just 3 minutes. The phone’s great-for-the-price specifications was definitely the reason for its success.

However, Honor did not state how many units it had actually sold, but it is being reported that over 150 units of the smartphone were sold per second during the first flash sale. The handset went on sale yesterday and the day before through Flipkart. To remind you more about the smartphone, it comes with a 5.65-inch IPS LCD screen with Full-HD+ resolution (1080×2160 pixels) and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is fuelled by the HiSilicon Kiri 659 SoC with an octa-core CPU which is paired with either 3GB or 4GB RAM. The base model packs 32GB storage, while the higher-end comes with 64GB storage.

For imaging needs, the phone features a dual rear-facing camera consisting of 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. Its pricing starts at Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant, while the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at Rs. 14,999.
