Today we are comparing two most affordable iPhones, the iPhone 5s and the iPhone SE with the newly launched Vivo V7 Plus. All the three smartphones in the comparison are priced around Rs. 20,000.

iPhone 5s vs. Vivo V7 Plus vs. iPhone SE: Display

The Apple iPhone 5s and the Apple iPhone SE come with the same display specifications; they have a relatively small 4-inch IPS LCD unit with 1136 x 640 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the Vivo V7 Plus has a large 5.99-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and bezel-less design. Even though the two iPhones have a sharper display than the Vivo V7 Plus, we would still prefer the V7 Plus as the larger display is more enjoyable and more practical.

iPhone 5s vs. Vivo V7 Plus vs. iPhone SE: Camera

The Apple iPhone 5s has the most basic camera hardware among the three smartphones; it comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The iPhone 5s was the leader in smartphone photography when it launched, but right now, it lacks behind the other two smartphones.

The Apple iPhone SE comes with a 12-megapixel primary camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary camera outperforms the other two devices with its excellent daylight and lowlight image quality. However, the low-resolution front-facing camera lets it down. In the current generation, having a good front-facing camera is as important as having a good primary camera. Hence, when we take both the cameras into consideration, the iPhone SE isn’t any better than the Vivo V7 Plus.

The Vivo V7 Plus features a whopping 24-megapixel front-facing camera equipped with an LED flash, which puts way above the other two smartphones. The primary camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with phase-detection autofocus and an LED flash. Even though the primary camera performance isn’t as good as that of the iPhone SE, the Vivo V7 Plus makes up for that with its excellent front-facing camera.

The Vivo V7 Plus uses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, which is mated to 4GB of RAM. The device comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat, and it packs tons of features like dual-apps, application locker, themes, and split-screen multitasking. Though the device doesn’t performs as smooth as the iPhone SE, it gets the job done without any lags.
