Nokia 1, Nokia 7 Plus images surface ahead of launch


We all know that Nokia is planning to launch a bunch of smartphones this year. These handsets include the Finnish company’s 2018 flagship, the Nokia 9, and other mid-range smartphones, the Nokia 1, Nokia 4 and the Nokia 7 Plus. Now, we have renders of the Nokia 1 and the Nokia 7 Plus. This phones have been revealed in their full glory, thanks to the extraordinary leakster @evleaks.

Nokia 1: Rumored Features, Specifications

Going by the leaked images of the Nokia 1, it appears that it will be the company’s cheapest Android smartphone this year. It will come with a much smaller display in comparison to the company’s other smartphones, and its design resembles to that of the entry-level smartphones from four to five years ago. The smartphone is expected to run Google’s lite smartphone operating system, Android Go. The Nokia 1 will feature an IPS LCD display with HD screen resolution (720×1280 pixels), 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, and storage expansion through microSD card slot (up to 32GB).

Nokia 7 Plus: Rumoured Features, Specifications

Coming to the Nokia 7 Plus, the smartphone will be a follow-up variant of the Nokia 7, which was released in September 2017. If we go by the renders of the Nokia 7 Plus, the smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup at the rear, making it the third such phone from Nokia. The Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 9 are also expected to feature dual-camera setups. The rear dual sensors on the Nokia 7 Plus will feature Carl Zeiss lens, and they will be accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash.

The smartphone will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint reader which is placed just below the dual-camera setup. There appears to be the Android One logo on the Nokia 7, so we assume that it will be the company’s first Android One smartphone, facilitating faster Android updates. Moving onto the screen, the Nokia 7 Plus is expected to feature with a 6-inch screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels. It will compete with phones such as the Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Honor 7X and the Honor 9i in the same price range.

As far as the hardware details go, it is expected that the Nokia 7 Plus will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, and it will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. And yeah, you will also get the 3.5mm audio port on the handset, and it is present on the top of the phone. HMD Global, which has an exclusive license to design and sell Nokia-branded smartphones, has already announced its MWC event where we could get to see the launch of these smartphones along with the Nokia 9.
