The Moto Z2 Force is the latest phone from Motorola, and we’re really impressed by it. It features a great processor, display, and the camera offerings are solid as well. But we couldn’t help but wonder, how well does it perform when compared with its competition? After all, there were phones like the Honor View 10 and the OnePlus 5T, both of which are excellent in their own ways. We decided to check how the Moto Z2 Force would fare when facing such strong contenders for the top spot. Before we dive into the various parameters, let’s begin by comparing the pricing.
Moto Z2 Force vs. Honor View 10 vs. OnePlus 5T: Price in India
The Moto Z2 Force was launched in July 2017 internationally but it made its Indian debut on 14th February 2018. It is currently priced at ?34,999. The Honor View 10 was released in January this year and is currently priced at ?29,999, which makes it the cheapest of the three phones in this comparison. The OnePlus 5T was launched in November 2017 and currently costs ?32,999 for the base variant.
Moto Z2 Force vs. Honor View 10 vs. OnePlus 5T: Display
The Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch P-OLED display that offers a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels, at 534ppi. Comparatively, the Honor View 10 comes with a 5.99-inch LTPS IPS LCD display which has a resolution of 1080×2160 and a pixel density of 403ppi. The OnePlus 5T sports a 6.01-inch optic AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels at 401ppi. As the resolutions indicate, the Honor View 10 and OnePlus 5T offer an 18:9 aspect ratio, whereas the Moto Z2 Force skips the wide-angle trend and offers the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio.
While the Moto Z2 Force and Honor View 10 don’t offer Gorilla Glass protection for the display, the OnePlus 5T does. However, the Z2 Force is ‘shatterproof’, which means it can take a beating and still survive.
Moto Z2 Force vs. Honor View 10 vs. OnePlus 5T: Performance and Battery Life
The Moto Z2 Force and the OnePlus 5T are both powered by the same processor: the Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 octa-core (4 x 2.35GHz Kryo + 4 x 1.9GHz Kryo) SoC. Comparatively, the Honor View 10 is equipped with a Hisilicon Kirin 970 octa-core (4 x 2.4GHz + 4 x 1.8GHz) processor.
In terms of configuration, all three phones offer the same 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage combination. In terms of software too, the phones are similar — they all offer the Android Oreo experience, via their custom forks. The Moto Z2 Force offers more of a stock experience, as compared to the other two.
While the Moto Z2 Force comes with a 2730mAh battery, the Honor View 10 has a 3750mAh power unit. The OnePlus 5T is equipped with a 3300mAh, in comparison. Note that the Moto Z2 Force comes with a free Moto Mod battery pack, which has a capacity of 3490mAh. So you get a lot more juice out of the Moto Z2 Force than you do from the other two phones.
Moto Z2 Force vs. Honor View 10 vs. OnePlus 5T: Camera
The Moto Z2 Force, Honor View 10 and OnePlus 5T all feature dual rear camera setups. The Motorola phone offers twin 12MP lenses on the back, whereas the Honor View 10 comes with a 16MP+20MP pair for your bokeh photography. The OnePlus 5T features a 16MP+20MP combination as well but also features EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation). All three phones can record 4k videos at 30 frames per second.
The Moto Z2 Force comes with a 5MP f/2.2 front shooter, whereas the Honor View 10 sports a 13MP f/2.0 snapper. The OnePlus features a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera, in comparison, and is also equipped with gyro EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation).

The conclusion was quite easy for us, and we’re sure it’s easy for you too. The OnePlus 5T is the clear winner of this comparison for the following reasons: it offers a better camera, a better display and a great processor (a feature shared with the Moto phone). We recommend that you go right ahead and get yourself a OnePlus 5T if you ever catch yourself confused about choosing one from these three phones. The OnePlus 5T it is.
